Mansorur Lake 

Lake Mansuror is considered to be the source of the Indus River. It is located in the Tibet region of China. It is known as a holy lake by the followers of four religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Bon. Mansarovar Lake is a vast freshwater lake located at an altitude of 15,060 feet above sea level in the Tibetan region, 940 km from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. The lake covers an area of 320 square kilometers, is largely circular in shape, and has a maximum depth of 300 feet.

Mansarovar Lake is connected to the nearby brackish water lake Rakshastal (the source of the Sutlej) through the Gangachu channel. The lake is situated at the foothills of the Kailash Mountains, a mountain of great religious significance. There are several monasteries on the banks of this lake which host thousands of pilgrims every year. Being in a more difficult area, less people can reach here and thus the natural beauty of the lake is still intact

مانسرور جھیل 

جھیل مانسرور سندھوں دریا کا آغاز سمجھا جاتا ہے ۔یہ چین کے علاقے تبت میں واقع ہے۔

چار مذاہب، ہندو، بدھ، جین اور بون کے پیروکاروں کی طرف سے ایک مقدس جھیل کے طور پر جانی جاتی ہے۔ مانسرور جھیل ایک وسیع میٹھے پانی کی جھیل ہے جو تبت کے علاقے میں سطح سمندر سے 15,060 فٹ بلندی پر واقع ہے، جو تبت کے دارالحکومت لہاسا سے 940 کلومیٹر دور ہے۔ 

جھیل 320 مربع کلومیٹر کے رقبے پر محیط ہے، یہ بڑی حد تک گول شکل میں ہے، اور اس کی زیادہ سے زیادہ گہرائی 300 فٹ ہے۔ 

مانسرور جھیل گنگا چھو چینل کے ذریعے قریبی کھارے پانی کی جھیل رکشستال(ستلج کا آغاز) سے منسلک ہے۔ یہ جھیل کیلاش پہاڑوں کے دامن میں واقع ہے جو کہ ایک اہم مذہبی اہمیت سے وابستہ پہاڑ ہے۔ اس جھیل کے کنارے کئی خانقاہیں موجود ہیں جو ہر سال ہزاروں زائرین کی میزبانی کرتی ہیں۔ہندو سمجھتے ہیں کہ یہاں نہانے پاپ دھل جاتے ہیں۔

مزید دشوار گزار علاقے میں ہونے کی وجہ سے کم لوگ یہاں پہنچ پاتے ہیں اور یوں اس جھیل کی قدرتی خوبصورتی ابھی تک برقرار ہے
