Sumer was the first great civilization of mankind. Even in today’s society, traces of Sumerian inventions in agriculture, language, mathematics, religion and astronomy can still be found.

The cradle of civilization: Sumer, born 6,000 years ago in Mesopotamia, was humanity’s first great culture. From plows to cuneiform writing, their innovations laid the foundation for agriculture, mathematics, and even modern astronomy.

At its height, cities like Uruk flourished, with populations reaching 80,000 while myths like the 'Eridu Genesis' influenced stories of the Great Flood. Even today, traces of Sumer’s legacy are embedded in our lives—wheeled chariots, the zodiac, and the 60-minute hour all owe their origins to this ancient marvel

سمر بنی نوع انسان کی پہلی عظیم تہذیب تھی۔ آج کے معاشرے میں بھی، زراعت، زبان، ریاضی، مذہب اور فلکیات میں سمیری ایجادات کے آثار اب بھی مل سکتے ہیں۔

تہذیب کا گہوارہ: سومر، 6,000 سال پہلے میسوپوٹیمیا میں پیدا ہوا، انسانیت کی پہلی عظیم ثقافت تھی۔ ہل سے لے کر کینیفارم تحریر تک، ان کی اختراعات نے زراعت، ریاضی اور یہاں تک کہ جدید فلکیات کی بنیاد ڈالی۔

اپنے عروج پر، اروک جیسے شہر پروان چڑھے، جن کی آبادی 80,000 تک پہنچ گئی جب کہ 'ایریڈو جینیسس' جیسے افسانوں نے عظیم سیلاب کی کہانیوں کو متاثر کیا۔ آج بھی، سمر کی وراثت کے آثار ہماری زندگیوں میں سرایت کرچکے ہیں—پہیوں والے رتھ، رقم اور 60 منٹ کا گھنٹہ ان سب کی ابتدا اس قدیم معجزے سے ہوئی ہے۔
