Washington: According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world's quietest room has been built by Microsoft, but no one can stay here for more than a few minutes.

Interestingly, only one person has spent more than 30 minutes in this room and on average people come out after a few minutes. Because as soon as you walk into the room, you can hear the heartbeat, then you can hear the sounds of the intestines and stomach, and then you can hear the movement of the bones and the flow of blood. The person who sits on it suffers from a strange condition and leaves the room

It is called 'anechoic chamber' in English where the sound waves are completely absorbed. This is why the silence here seems so strange because even the quietest library can have 40 decibels of noise. But negative decibels rule here. Many people experience ringing in the ears within seconds of coming here and it becomes impossible to stop.

The second thing is that many people lose their balance by coming into this room and people start fearing even the sound of their breathing. Engineers have installed special sound-absorbing panels around the room and on the ceiling. That is why it has taken two whole years to design and manufacture

Now its silence has been further increased to negative 24.9 decibels. Here the devices are optimized by listening to the buzz of Microsoft products. This leads to higher quality of product manufacturing.

However, general public cannot visit this room as it is meant for serious scientific research and product development

دلچسپ بات یہ ہے کہ صرف ایک شخص نے اس کمرے میں 30 منٹ سے زائد وقت گزارا ہے اور اوسطاً افراد چند منٹوں بعد باہرنکل آتے ہیں۔ کیونکہ کمرے کے اندر جاتے ہی آپ دل کی دھڑکن سن سکتےہیں، پھر آنتوں اور معدے کی آوازیں بھی سن سکتے ہیں اور اس کےبعد ہڈیوں کی حرکت اور خون کی روانی تک سن سکتے ہیں۔ اس پر بیٹھنے والا عجیب کیفیت کا شکار ہوتا ہے اور کمرے سے باہر نکل جاتا ہے

اسے انگریزی میں ’اینیکوئک چیمبر‘ کہتے ہیں جہاں آواز کی لہریں مکمل طور پر جذب ہوجاتی ہیں۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ یہاں کی خاموشی بہت عجیب لگتی ہے کیونکہ خاموش ترین لائبریری میں بھی 40 ڈیسی بیل کا شور ہوسکتا ہے۔ لیکن یہاں منفی ڈیسی بیل کا راج ہے۔ بہت سے لوگ یہاں آکر چند سیکنڈ میں کانوں کی گھنٹی بجنے کی آواز محسوس کرتے ہیں اور رکنا بھی محال ہو جاتا ہے

دوسری بات یہ ہے کہ اس کمرے میں آکر کئی لوگوں نے توازن کھو دیا اور لوگ اپنی سانس کی آواز سے بھی ڈرنے لگتے ہیں۔ انجینیئروں نے اس کمرے کے چاروں طرف اور چھت پر بھی خاص تختے نما ساخت لگائی ہیں جو آواز کو جذب کر لیتی ہیں۔ یہی وجہ ہے اس کی ڈیزائننگ اور تیاری میں پورے دو برس لگے ہیں

اب اس کی خاموشی مزید بڑھا کر منفی 24 اعشاریہ 9 ڈیسی بیل کردی گئی ہے۔ یہاں مائیکروسافٹ کی مصنوعات کی بھنبھناہٹ سن کر آلات کو بہتر بنایا جاتا ہے۔ اس سے مصنوعات کی تیاری کو اعلیٰ معیار تک لے جایا جاسکتا ہے۔

تاہم عام افراد اس کمرے کی سیر نہیں کرسکتے کیونکہ یہ سنجیدہ سائنسی تحقیق اور مصنوعات سازی کے لیے بنایا گیا ہے
