Japan's underwater highway 

Faced with the challenge of connecting Kawasaki and Kisarazu, two urban centers located on either side of Tokyo Bay, Japanese officials decided to use a viaduct, an underground canal... and, as a gift, two artificial islands. The construction overlooks the Pacific Ocean, one of which is 650 meters long and offers a large parking and shopping area.

The project is called the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line and although it was inaugurated a quarter of a century ago, it is surprising for its dimensions, design and technical solutions that allow it to span a bay more than 14 kilometers wide. Saves that which contains water. Reach a depth of 70 meters
