The claim that the Sumerian civilization had detailed maps of our solar system 6,000 years ago is an interesting but controversial topic. Historically, the Sumerians were experts in astronomy, and their clay tablets record astronomical observations. However, to say that they knew all the details of the modern solar system is an exaggeration.

Sumerian astronomy and impressions

Sumerian tablets contain images of stars, planets, and constellations, and they identified planets such as Venus. However, we have no reliable evidence that they were aware of distant planets such as Neptune or Uranus, as they are not visible without a telescope. Some theories, such as the existence of a “Nibiru” or tenth planet, are based largely on modern speculation, not historical evidence.

Strange and giant creatures

Sumerian inscriptions sometimes depict tall gods or other creatures, which some people associate with aliens or extraterrestrials. However, archaeologists consider the images of these gods to be religious and cultural symbols, which were often common in Mesopotamian traditions.

DNA and medical symbols

The idea that Sumerian inscriptions contain symbols such as the double helix of DNA is merely conjecture. Sumerian medical symbols resemble modern medical symbols (such as the caduceus), but this may be a coincidence, as the use of symbols specific to healing and medicine was common in ancient civilizations.

The Sumerian civilization was incredibly advanced, but we have no solid evidence that they possessed advanced astronomical knowledge or were connected to any supernatural beings. Most speculation is based on modern theories and interpretations, which rely on the ideas of theorists rather than historical evidence.
