سعودی عرب میں طائف کے جنوب میں واقع الخرفی نامی ایک لاوارث گاؤں میں 1,200 قدیم شہد کی مکھیوں نے اپنی بقا اور آسانی کی ایک چھپی ہوئی کہانی کو ظاہر کیا ہے۔ مٹی اور کیچڑ سے بنے ہوئے، یہ شہد کی مکھیوں کے چھتے ابتدائی باشندوں کے لیے ضروری تھے، جو سخت صحرا میں خوراک اور ادویات کا ایک اہم ذریعہ فراہم کرتے تھے۔
