 Osterby man

 An archaeological body Osterby Man, also known as Osterby Head, is a bog body with only the skull and hair preserved. This interesting archaeological stone was discovered in 1948 by Pete Cutter, southeast of Osterbe, Germany.

Hair Style: The hair is tied in a Swabian knot, which was common among the Swabian tribe of Germany, as mentioned by the Roman historian Tacitus. Skull Condition: The head was found about 65 to 70 cm below the present surface. , and was wrapped in pieces of deer skin. The skull was damaged by a blunt object before being submerged in the swamp. Preservation: The acids of the swamp have eroded the bone, causing the bone to shrink and turn a dark brown color. Hair and small parts of the skull are well preserved, but the skin and other soft tissues of the face have disappeared. The Osterbemann is currently housed in the State Archaeological Museum of Gottfried Castle in Schleswig, Schleswig-Holstein.
